Američki filmski mjuzikl snimljen 1945. godine u produkciji studija Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer i režiji tima od sedam režisera koje su činili Lemuel Ayers, Roy Del Ruth, Robert Lewis, Vincente Minnelli, Merrill Pye, George Sidney i Charles Walters. Ime je dobio po znamenitoj istoimenoj seriji kazališnih muzičkih revija koje je na Broadwayu bio producirao Florenz Ziegfeld, a čiji se lik, koga tumači William Powell, nakratko pojavljuje u film. Film je zamišljen kao ekranizacija, odnosno "oživotvorenje" tih revija, te se sastoji od niza međusobno nepovezanih muzičkih i plesnih točaka, odnosno humorističkih skečeva u kojima nastupaju tada najveće zvijezde MGM-a. Film se snimao gotovo tri godine pri čemu je MGM imao niz problema. Nakon premijere je Ziegfeled Follies imao vrlo dobru gledanost, ali je zbog ogromnih troškova produkcije trebalo proći neko vrijeme prije nego što ostvari profit. Godine 1947. je prikazan na Kanskom festivalu gdje je dobio Grand Prix za najbolju muzičku komediju. Snimljeno je nekoliko verzija filma sa različitim trajanjima - od 273 minuta, do televizijske verzije od 109 minuta koja se danas najčešće prikazuje.[wiki]
