U malom kraljevstvu prestolonaslednik i njegov dvor su zabrinuti za mladu princezu koja želi da se uda isključivo iz ljubavi. Spletom nesrećnih okolnosti, nakon iznenadne smrti oca, princeza postaje "Pepeljuga" i primorana je da bude sluga u svojoj kući.
