Opis:

Film je djelimično inspiriran istoimenom pjesmom Alfreda Tennysona, radnja prikazuje znameniti juriš lake konjice u krimskom ratu 1854. godine. Major Geoffrey Vickers, britanski konjički oficir koji služi u Indiji i koji zbog lijepe Else Campbell stvara suparništvo sa centralnoazijskim vladarom Surat Khanom koje će kulminirati kada se u bitci kod Balaklave nađu na suprotnim stranama.

Iako se prilično slobodno odnosio prema historijskim činjenicama (a što su sami producenti priznali posebnim upozorenjem na samom početku filma), Charge je doživio ogroman uspjeh. Kasnije je, međutim, izazvao velike kontroverze kada se ispostavilo da su producenti, nastojeći što vjernije prikazati juriš, ubili i osakatili na desetke konja eksplozivnim napravama koje su trebale dočarati efekt ruskih granata.
