Film se vrti oko Lindzi, lepe žene koja naizgled ima sve, ali duboko u sebi se plaši vezivanja. Kada sazna da njen terapeut uzima odmor za ceo mesec avgust, šokirana je i oseća se napušteno. Zbog toga traži pomoć svoje najbolje prijateljice Monike sa kojom zajedno odlazi na grupnu terapiju za sve ljude koji žive na Menhetnu, ali je i dalje ljuta na svog terapeuta kojeg mora čekati do septembra...
