Opis:
Lucas has invented a new computer language but at the same time he has been informed about his strange terminal illness during which he has been gradually losing his memory. Shortly after that he meets Blanche who acts as a medium in a bizarre traveling show. Dying Lucas follows her to the sea resort where they spend together several days and nights.
Programmer Lucas creates a new computer language and shortly after this he develops a brain tumor that affects his memory. Trying to remember as many words as possible, he becomes a compulsive talker. In a street café he meets Blanche, an unhappy young woman, who is a mere toy in the hands of her callous husband and her promiscuous mother. Despite his terminal illness, Lucas follows her to Biarritz and rents the imperial suite in a posh hotel where a lobby clerk and a diminutive bellboy become his accomplices and confidants. In the evening of the same day he finds out about the strange nature of Blanches work. She plays a clairvoyant in a show for the idle rich, reading peoples past and future. Lucas and Blanche have a passionate affair during which they both have the recurrent visions from the past. Blanche recalls herself as a little girl, sitting in the kitchen corner, watching her father assaulting her mother. Lucas sees incessantly the death of his parents who drowned in a lake
