Opis:

Posao Ripa Smita - istraživanje javnog mnjenja je potpuni neuspeh... sve dok ne otkrije da je mali grad Grandvju statistički identičan čitavoj zemlji. On i njegovi asistenti odlaze tamo da jeftino i lako anketiraju ljude, u potpunoj tajnosti. Sve deluje savršeno, ali nevolje počinju kada žena po imenu Meri Peterman predlaže gradonačelniku da se grad proširi nizom novih zgrada, što Ripu nikako ne ide na ruku – njemu je potrebno da grad ostane isti kako bi on uspešno sproveo svoja istraživanja. Situacija se pogoršava kada se Rip zaljubljuje u Meri, što dodatno menja stvari i komplikuje njegov život.
