Dana 20.01.1942. vodeći predstavnici nemačkog nacističkog režima sastali su se u jednoj vili u Berlinu- na jezeru Wannsee na sastanku koji je ušao u istoriju kao Vanzejska konferencija, na kojoj je odlučeno o sistematskom ubistvu 11 miliona Jevreja. Wannsee konferencija rekonstruisana je na osnovu zapisnika sa sastanka Adolfa Eichmanna (Johannes Allmayer). Postoji samo jedna kopija ovog dokumenta i smatra se ključnim dokumentom naknadnog istrebljenja Jevreja.
