Algiers (1938)

Pepe La Moko, lopov koji je pobegao iz Francuske sa bogatstvom u draguljima, dve godine je živeo i praktički vladao „domaćom četvrti“ Alžira, poznatom kao Kazba. Francuski zvaničnik insistira da ga uhvate, ali lukavi inspektor Sliman zna da treba da čeka pravi trenutak. Učtivi Pepe sve više svoje uporište doživljava i kao zatvor, posebno kada upozna prelepu parižanku Gabi, koja ga podseća na široke bulevare na koje ne sme da se vrati... i budi ljubomoru kod Ines, njegove alžirske ljubavnice.
