Varg Veum - Bitre blomster (2007)

A successful female politician hires private-detective Varg Veum. She wants him to find her disappeared daughter without attracting too much attention. During his investigation Veum becomes aware of an international company and its dealings with corruption, black-business, and murder.

Ovo je prvi od do sada sedam snimljenih filmova prema krimi novelama norveškog pisca Gunara Stalesena. U toku je snimanje još dva, a ukopno je planirano 12.

Priča prati bivšeg policajca a sada privatnog detektiva, Varg Veuma. U Bergenu (inače rodnom mestu pisca novela) se jedne noći dešava misteriozni nestanak Kamile, ćerke partijske liderke Vibeke Farang. Policija četiri dana ne uspeva da otkrije ništa o tom slučaju. Detektiv Hamre koji zvanično vodi istragu poziva na kratko u pomoć svog bivćeg kolegu, Varg Veuma, sluteći da ovaj ima neke informacije koje bi mu koristile. Ali Varg sada već želi da se i sam umeša u slučaj jer smatra da policija loše odrađuje posao. Njihovu raspravu čula je i majka nestale devojčice i ona odlazi kod Varga tražeći njegovu pomoć. I tako dobijamo dva detektiva sa istim ciljem. Međutim, to nije prednost jer će njihovi loši odnosi i konkurencija otežati istragu.

Sjajna dinamika, koja je zaštitni znak u skandinavskim trilerima je i ovde prisutna. I to garantuje da će vam vreme uz film, koji traje nešto manje od 90 minuta, proleteti.

Scenario za ovaj kriminalni triler je adaptirao Thomas Moldestad, koji je poznat još po pisanju scenarija za norveške horore Fritt Vilt 1 i 2.
Film je režirao Ulrik Imtiaz Rolfsen. Osim ovog filma snimio je još i Izzat (2005).
Trond Espen Seim koji tumači glavnog junaka nije imao zapaženijih uloga ranije.
