Klasično ostvarenje studija "Gainsborough" kao i ostali filmovi ove produkcijske kuće, balansira između visoke produkcije, odličnih glumačkih performansi (zapanjujuća gluma Jamesa Masona) i pomalo preteranog didaktičkog dramskog tona koji nudi jasna upozorenja o tome šta se dešava ako se previše zaluta u pravcu slobode ili potčinjenosti. Izuzetno hrabro delo za 1945. godinu koje progovara o do tada tabu temi porodičnog i mentalnog zlostavljanja u braku. Emotivno i zanimljivo iskustvo. Na žalost DVD rip je samo osrednjeg kvaliteta, dok je prevod kao i obično besprekoran.
