Opis:

Američki crno-bijeli historijski film snimljen 1935. godine u režiji Ernesta B. Schoedsacka. Predstavlja prvu zvučnu adaptaciju istoimenog romana britanskog pisca Edwarda Bulwera-Lyttona, iako ga je scenarij Ruth Rose koristio samo u najokvirnijim detaljima, poput mjesta i vremena radnje. Protagonist, čiji lik tumači Preston Foster, je profesionalni gladijator koji je, sticajem okolnosti, svjedočio razapinjanju Krista u Palestini te koji, mnogo decenija kasnije, živi u Pompejima gdje njegov odrasli sin (koga tumači John Wood) prihvaća kršćanstvo.
