Dok se drugi svetski rat približava, katolička škola za dečake pokraj Pariza postaje pozornica priče o zabranjenim željama, u religioznoj drami Cezarom nagrađenog glumca i režisera Christophe Malavoya.Mladi student filozofije(Sevrais) započinje blisko prijateljstvo sa mlađim školskim drugom (Souplier). Njihovu vezu ne odobrava opat od Pradtsa, koji je opsednut mladim Souplierom. Opat priprema zamku za Sevraisa, ali iguman naslućuje šta se dešava.
